Academic Publications
I worked at Oregon State University from 1983 until official retirement in 2015. However, I've retained "courtesy" (unpaid) faculty roles in two OSU Colleges since then.
During those active university years I wrote many publications, of essentially three kinds: 1) the "normal" fare of articles published in academic journalls; 2) articles and publications published by Oregon Sea Grant, the research and public engagement program of which I was the assistant director and leader of the science communication program; and 3) a great variety of general or special interest articles written for a wide range of external publications, including newspapers and magazines, and industry and science periodicals. My writing for radio and film are on another page, as are academic books.
